What are your plans for National Sorry Day and National Reconciliation Week? - GP Synergy

What are your plans for National Sorry Day and National Reconciliation Week?

Since 1998, National Sorry Day (26 May) has been dedicated to remember and commemorate the mistreatment of the country’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population and acknowledge the Stolen Generation.

National Sorry Day is followed by National Reconciliation Week between 27 May to 3 June, and is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and explore how we can contribute to achieving reconciliation.

National Reconciliation Week commemorates two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey— the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision.

At GP Synergy we will be hosting a morning tea in each of our offices with special presentations by local members of the Aboriginal community to share their stories and those of their communities to recognise these important dates.
