GP Synergy Directors and team members are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Dr Harry Nespolon.
Harry has had a long association with GP Synergy and GP training. He was a GP supervisor for over 16 years, during which time he mentored and trained more than 20 GP registrars.
Harry was a significant leader in GP Synergy’s history and a passionate advocate for general practice training. He joined the Sydney Institute of General Practice Education and Training (SIGPET) Board in 2007 and was part of the amalgamation of SIGPET and the New England Area Training Service (NEATS) forming GP Synergy in 2009. After a departure from the GP Synergy Board in 2011, he returned as a Director in 2014. During his tenure as Chair from 2014-2017, he led GP Synergy’s transition into the sole Australian General Practice Training program provider for NSW and ACT.
He was highly respected and admired across our organisation. Our thoughts and condolences are with Harry’s family, friends and colleagues.
