Towns in the Murrumbidgee subregion
Murrumbidgee and ACT is a subregion of the larger Western NSW training region.
Murrumbidgee and ACT runs along the Victoria/NSW border in the south, takes in the ACT in the east, stretches to the area west of Deniliquin, and north of Griffith and Young.
The cities of Canberra, Wagga Wagga and Griffith are the largest centres in the subregion. Towns range in size from Young (population approximately 10,000), Deniliquin and Leeton (approximately 8,000 each) to Boorowa (more than 1600) and Lockhart (approximately 1,000 people).
