When an applicant accepts an offer with GP Synergy, they are agreeing to meet GP Synergy and AGPT training location obligations as applicable for their subregion and pathway.
Requests for transfers to different subregions, regions or pathways are not frequently granted. They require demonstration and evidence of extraordinary and unforeseen circumstances and may require approval from the Department of Health.
The following are examples of circumstances that are not deemed to be extraordinary or unforeseen (amongst others):
- the arrival of children
- partner’s employment
- psychological stress associated with meeting your training location obligations for your subregion.
