RACGP application and selection
Step 4: Participate in stage 2 assessments – interviews with GP Synergy
Applicants that score above the cut-off in stage 1 may be shortlisted and invited to participate in interviews with a regional training provider such as GP Synergy. Upon booking an interview, applicants will be asked to rank their subregion preferences (where applicable). Rural pathway applicants can also apply for priority subregion preferencing.
Step 5: Training offers
Offers are made using a merit based process. An applicant's interview score will determine if they are made an offer for GP Synergy and for which subregion. Priority subregion preferencing opportunities are available for applicants of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent, Australian Defence Force applicants and rural pathway applicants that can demonstrate strong rural ties to a rural subregion within their shortlisted training region.
