Wauchope District Memorial Hospital provides a 24-hour, level 3 service. It currently has 18 inpatient beds in the main hospital comprised of eight rehabilitation and ten general medical beds. There is one operating theatre for day-only surgery, including endoscopy, orthopaedic, gynaecology, vascular and urology and the community can access “walk-in” medical attention from the purpose built Urgent Care Centre, 7 days per week. Medical services are provided by GPs, specialist surgeons and anaesthetists.
