Vincentia is located 27 km (28 min drive) from the regional centre of Nowra, and nearly 200 km (2 hr 50 min drive) from Sydney or Canberra.

Jervis Bay is famous for its white-sand beaches and clear turquoise waters. They are amongst the world’s safest and most beautiful.

How to get there

The closest airport to Vincentia is Sydney International Airport (2.5 hours drive away).

There are regular City Rail services from Sydney Central to Bomaderry Railway Station, 30km from Vincentia. Nowra Coaches run a bus service between Bomaderry Railway Station and Vincentia.

Healthcare facilities

Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital is the closest large hospital (35 min drive from Vincentia) and provides acute medical and surgical services as well as orthopaedic services. The hospital has an intensive care unit that incorporates high dependency and coronary care beds. The hospital also provides emergency department services.

There are two shopping centres in Vincentia offering three supermarkets – Woolworths, Coles and Aldi, plus an array of other shops including a butcher, newsagent, food outlets, clothing stores and bakeries.

There are a number of places of worship in Jervis Bay including Catholic, Anglican, Jehovah’s Witness, Baptist, Uniting, and Greek Orthodox churches. The nearest Buddhist Temple (Nan Tien) is in Berkeley (85 min drive) and the closest Muslim mosque (Omar Mosque) is in Gwynneville (90 min drive).

Jervis Bay is most well known for its beautiful beaches and lush national parks. It is also a great place for whale and dolphin watching. There are restaurants, a licensed club and nearby the famous Husky Pub. There is a cinema in nearby Huskisson as well as Nowra.

There is a large range of sporting facilities, sporting clubs and teams in the region including rugby union, rugby league, AFL, tennis, basketball, netball, fishing, surfing, cricket and golf.
