Shoalhaven Heads is a small town in the Jervis Bay region on the South Coast of New South Wales. It is located 25 minutes from Nowra and 3 hours from Sydney (about 200 kilometres by road). Jervis Bay’s famous white-sand beaches and clear turquoise waters are amongst the safest and most beautiful in the world.
There are no public airports in the Jervis Bay region so if you wish to arrive by air, you are best to fly into either the Sydney or Canberra airports and connect to Jervis Bay and Shoalhaven Heads by road, shuttle or rail. Virgin Australia, Qantas and Jetstar service both airports and car hire and connecting shuttles are available from the terminal.
There are regular City Rail services from Central Sydney that head south passing through Wollongong and arriving in northern Shoalhaven. Alternatively, the CountryLink rail service connects Canberra to Nowra in Shoalhaven, via Albion Park.
Premier Transport and Murrays Coaches both offer several coach services between Sydney and Canberra to the south coast arriving in Nowra. Nowra Coaches run a bus service between Nowra and Jervis Bay.
