Sawtell is a peaceful and rather typical coastal holiday and family recreation village that is popular for its beaches, fishing, golfing, swimming, surfing and boating.
Sawtell has its own heritage listed cinema showing recently released movies and the air conditioned cinema, with digital sound, screens an international film festival in October and a “Flickerfest” short film festival in March.
There is a croquet club, bowling greens, tennis courts and an excellent 18 hole golf course. For the children a BMX track is only a short drive from Sawtell.
