Ocean Shores is a town on the north coast of New South Wales, in the Byron Shire, situated at the mouth of the Brunswick River. It is located 780 km north east of Sydney, 146 km south east of Brisbane and 20 km north of Byron Bay and is across the river from the town of Brunswick Heads.
Ocean shores has has white sandy beaches, a breakwater and harbour, making it a great location to enjoy a wide range of water activities such as yabbying, boating and kayaking.
The closest regional airport is in Ballina, which a 30 minute drive from Brunswick Heads. Jetstar, Regional Express Airlines (REX) and Virgin Australia offer daily direct services to Sydney, while Jetstar also provides daily direct services to Melbourne and Regional Express Airlines (REX) to Newcastle.

The Ocean Shores Golf Course is loved by both locals and tourists who enjoy the challenge of this first class 18 hole course (No. 9 in NSW). Golf, lawn bowls, a swimming pool and excellent dining make the Ocean Shores Country Club a popular spot.
There are seven km of ocean surf beach in Ocean Shores, from the North Head of the Brunswick River to Wooyun creek. New Brighton Sports Oval, provides regular soccer practice, the home of Shores United Soccer Club, involving junior and men’s teams. There are two tennis courts at Waterlily Park.
Ocean shores is a 20 minute drive from Byron Bay and a 30 minute drive from Ballina, where you will also have a large variety of events, festival and things to do.
