Muswellbrook District Hospital is a medium sized hospital with an emergency department with 33 beds and offers services, such as, general surgery, palliative care, general medicine, physiotherapy, renal dialysis, maternity, ophthalmology, radiology and pathology.
As part of the Hunter New England Local Health District, Muswellbrook Hospital has a Chemotherapy Unit, providing chemotherapy administration services to outpatients Patients will initially be required to have a consultation with a medical oncologist at an outpatient clinic at either Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital or The Calvary Mater Newcastle.

Muswellbrook is a charming rural town in the Upper Hunter surrounded by a clutch of wineries that offer cellar door tastings.
