Kandos is a small, quaint town located in the beautiful Capertee Valley, the world’s second largest canyon.
Kandos is about 3 hours and 20 minutes (232km) north-west of Sydney. The larger town of Mudgee is just under an hour to the north west.
Air: The nearest commercial airport is at Mudgee Airport (just under an hour to the north west) and flights are provided by Fly Pelican. They fly twice daily return flights to Sydney.
Train: The nearest railway station is Lithgow Railway Station, 1 hour and 10 mins (93.2km) to the south.
Bus: A NSW TrainLink coach service operates each way daily connecting at Lithgow with the Blue Mountains Line interurban train service to Sydney.

Kandos’ own Down the Track Café offers alfresco dining on the platform of the old railway station while the nearby larger town of Mudgee offers a sophisticated café culture, award-winning wineries and restaurants and the annual Mudgee Food and Wine Festival in September.
