The population of Jindabyne is 2,441 and is comprised of approximately 46.0% females and 54.0% males.

Location

Jindabyne is located 180km (2 hr 15 minutes) south of Canberra, via the Monaro Highway. It overlooks Lake Jindabyne near the Snowy Mountains and is a popular holiday destination, especially in winter, due to its proximity to several ski resorts throughout the Kosciuszko National Park, including Thredbo and Perisher.

Transport links

Regional Express (REX) conduct year-round return flights from Sydney into Snowy Mountains Airport in Cooma.

NSW Train Link operates a regional train and coach service that can take you to most key locations around the region including Jindabyne, Cooma, Tumut, Tumbarumba, Berridale, Dalgety and Bombala.
