Location

Basin View and Sanctuary Point are located 26 km (25 min drive) from the regional centre of Nowra, 195 km (2 hr 45 min) from Sydney and 188 km (2 hr 30 min) from Canberra.

The adjoining waterway St Georges Basin is a popular recreational fishing haven, the area is also a popular coastal holiday destination.

How to get there

There are no public airports in the Nowra area, the closest airports are in Sydney and Canberra. Connecting shuttle services are available.

There are regular City Rail services from Central Sydney that head south passing through Wollongong and terminate in the northern Shoalhaven.

Premier Transport offers coach services between Sydney and Eden, stopping in Nowra.

Nearby Jervis Bay is a tourist mecca with its famous white-sand beaches, clear turquoise waters and beautiful national parks, it is popular for swimming, kayaking, fishing, boating and bushwalking. Whale and dolphin watching are popular tourist activities on Jervis Bay. There are also many restaurants and cafes in the area to enjoy a meal out.
