Where do you train in NSW and ACT?
2. Your subregion preference and allocation
Each of our NSW and ACT training regions are divided into subregions. If you are successful in receiving an offer to train with us, you will be allocated to a subregion within your shortlisted training region based on your selection performance and preference.
You'll undertake your GP training terms within this subregion, with teaching and support from your local medical education and administrative team.
Western NSW
North Eastern NSW
Lower Eastern NSW
3. Your training location obligations
To ensure communities across NSW and ACT receive the primary care they need, during your training you'll train in areas of medical service need. Known as training location obligations, these areas of need will vary according to each subregion.
4. Your GP term placement choice
Which practice/s you will train in during your GP training is up to you and the practice, as our term placement process is designed to offer flexibility to decide what's right for you. All of our practices are accredited and follow GP Synergy’s Practice Quality Framework to ensure a quality training experience.
