The New England General Practice Research Network is presenting ‘How are you using internet-based cognitive behavioural therapy (iCBT) with patients in your practice?’
This presentation will showcase local research in general practice on how GPs are using iCBT, what difficulties they experience, and questions and concerns GPs have about recommending it to their patients. Dr Jessica Yip, a former GP Synergy academic registrar and now GP in Armidale, will present the research she did in 2020 on this topic.
Dr Michael Millard, Consultant Psychiatrist from This Way Up will present the evidence for the effectiveness of iCBT, what patients are appropriate, and then some tips on how to use This Way Up, an internet Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) service.
The New England GP Research Network, a group of New England based GPs interested in how local research can help improve patient outcomes. This is an accredited RACGP CPD and ACRRM PDP activity.
