Central, Eastern and South Western Sydney Supervisor of the Year – Dr Kate George
Dr Catherine (Kate) George is a GP supervisor at Leichhardt GP and Central and Eastern Sydney PHN (Health Pathways). She is an experienced supervisor that GP registrars consider as wonderfully kind, approachable and supportive. In the words of registrars who have trained with her: "Kate is a wonderful role model and I feel privileged to be able to learn from her wealth of experience, she has an extensive knowledge of the various clinical practice guidelines used to inform general practice as a result, Kate's guidance and feedback as a supervisor is always well-informed, extensive and up to date", "Kate is an inspiring general practitioner and a career-changing supervisor, she provided me with the core foundations of being a clinically excellent and compassionate GP" and "Kate goes above and beyond to ensure her registrars feel seen, safe, and supported, she pushed me to grow and develop as a GP and is an exceptional educator and proponent of evidence-based and guideline-based best practice in primary care".

Central, Eastern and South Western Sydney Registrar of the Year – Dr Edwina Brown
Dr Edwina Brown is a recent fellow who did her GP training at Vitalis Family Medical Practice, Glebe Family Medical Practice and an academic term with University of Notre Dame - Sydney. Her academic project explored 'Australian general practitioner chlamydia testing rates among young people; a follow up study'. Edwina's enthusiasm for GP training has extended to sharing her knowledge and passion with medical students through assisting GP Synergy in various university workshops. Informative and engaging she has been a wonderful ambassador for general practice. These traits were also apparent throughout her clinical training.

Central, Eastern and South Western Sydney Practice Manager of the Year – Waheed Akhtar
Mr Waheed Akhtar is practice manager at My Family Health Medical Centre in Gregory Hills and Emerald Hills Medical Centre in Leppington. Registrars speak highly of Waheed's commitment to their general practice training including his knowledge and efficiency in ensuring there training runs smoothly, his flexibility in ensuring that registrars work life is balanced with other responsibilities. His management through the pandemic was smooth and ensured a safe working environment for all safe and patients of the practices, his coordination skills and knowledge didn't go unnoticed.
