Nepean, Western and Northern Sydney Registrar of the Year – Dr Siobhan Ballesty
Dr Siobhan Ballesty undertook part of her GP training at Riverstone Family Medical Practice where she worked conscientiously and sought extra training in areas where the practice required further expertise including in skin cancer and travel medicine. In February 2020, at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic Siobhan stepped up to help establish a GP-led respiratory COVID testing clinic. Setting up the clinic was complex as the model was a drive-through assessment. At that time, Riverstone was the only GP-led Respiratory Clinic to have this model. Siobhan demonstrated clinical excellence, commitment and dedication to the practice and the local community.

Nepean, Western and Northern Sydney Practice Manager of the Year – Lorraine Parker
Lorraine Parker opened the Katoomba Medical Practice in 2008, applying to become an accredited training practice nine years ago, as she saw benefits for both the practice and doctors undertaking their training to become specialist GPs.
