GP Synergy Awards 2020 – Dr Jeremy Bunker Outstanding Achievement Award

Dr Jeremy Bunker Outstanding Achievement Award – Ms Felicity Gemmell-Smith
Felicity Gemmell-Smith has worked tirelessly for GP Synergy since its inception, and before that for the New England Area Training Services. As a long-term Moree resident, Felicity experiences firsthand the significant difference a good doctor with the right skills in a rural community can make. As the Rural Programs Manager for GP Synergy her role is as diverse as it is unique. She is dedicated to helping registrars achieve their career goals as rural practitioners and advocates fearlessly for them and for improving the health of rural communities. Utilising her experience and knowledge, she is highly effective in working with ACRRM and RACGP rural registrars to truly understand what it is they are looking for in their training journey, where they want to live and work, and ultimately to ensure they have the right skills for the community they wish to settle into. Felicity engages proactively with external stakeholders in areas that best support her effectiveness in her role and the outcomes she can achieve for registrars and rural communities whether it be locally, regionally or nationally.
