We’re excited to announce that GP Synergy registrars will be undertaking 10 of the 21 available RACGP academic posts in 2022. The projects they will be undertaking can be found here.
In particular, Dr Ryan Bulger will be completing a specialised academic post referred to as the ‘Australian Indigenous Doctors’ Association (AIDA) academic post’. As part of the Federal Governments’ Closing the Gap strategy, the Department of Health has earmarked a specialised academic post recognising that AIDA and its members are uniquely positioned to provide perspectives aimed at improving the health and life outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The post is an identified training term open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander GPs in training to do teaching and research that aims to improve the health and life outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
