Hunter, Manning and Central Coast regional awards 2017

2017

Supervisor of the Year Award | Dr Wayne Halpin

Wayne has supported many Australian Defence Force registrars in their training, and it is apparent that registrars respect Dr Halpin as a supervisor who is dedicated, clinically proficient, always approachable and also understanding of the needs of ADF registrars.

Practice Manager of the Year Award | Ms Rachel Blanch

Rachel has been the practice manager at Gloucester MediCo for the last six years, she enjoys meeting new registrars and introducing them to rural GP/VMO work with the hope that they will fall in love with the experience and stay in Gloucester. In turn, registrars appreciate the overall experience they gain while training in Gloucester.

Registrar of the Year Award | Dr Gordon Lau

Currently in his GPT2 term, Gordon’s wonderful enthusiasm for general practice is acknowledged. From his participation in training workshops to helping out with mock exams, his positive manner has been noticed by patients, training practices, colleagues and GP Synergy staff.

GP Synergy Employee of the Year Award | Ms Jacky Porter

Jacky joined GP Synergy in 2013 as the events coordinator for the New England/Northwest subregion, and moved into the program support and event coordinator role in Newcastle in 2016. She is a dedicated and hardworking member of the events team, who is tireless in her efforts to achieve the best outcomes, and always willing to assist others.
