These 21 innovative ideas to share, were compiled at the 2019 Supervisor Professional Development Day.

  1. lunch time fun quizzes to get to know one another within the practice
  2. regular practice team dinners – whole of practice
  3. supervisor and registrar have lunch together (not a teaching session)
  4. confidential informal discussions for pastoral care
  5. integrating the registrar into practice group communications via Facebook or WhatsApp or intra-mail (in-practice emails)
  6. Facebook private group/WhatsApp group/intra-mail for clinical case discussions
  7. fridge magnet used as a white board in the tea room for the registrar to jot down their learning needs so everyone in the practice knows
  8. central portal within the practice software for all teaching resources compiled by the registrars
  9. clinical reasoning/knowledge quiz
